  2. DISKEDIT-Disk Sector Editor 3.00 for DOS

  4. This is a utility to view disk sectors in both hex and
  5. ASCII formats. All characters are displayed, including
  6. control characters and those above ASCII 128. If you
  7. want to snoop at your disks and see what they look like
  8. inside, you can use this. Also useful for repairing
  9. corrupted data, if you know where to look, like boot
  10. sectors, FATs, and root directories. BE CAREFUL.
  11. USEFUL IF UTILIZED PROPERLY, DANGEROUS IF USED
  12. IMPROPERLY. SEE THE WARNINGS THAT ACCOMPANY THE
  13. SOFTWARE.
  14. DO NOT RUN UNDER WINDOWS. Since Windows is
  15. multitasking, it's possible it might be making changes
  16. to your disk while the program is running. At the very
  17. least, your display may not match the actual contents
  18. of the disk. At the worst, you may end up corrupting
  19. the sector or the system area.
  20. Compiles with Borland Turbo Pascal for DOS, version
  21. 5.5 or later.
